ActiveVista 30gsm Frost Cloth – Overwintering protection in moderate climates.
Frost protection down to -2°C. Great overwinter protection for leeks, onions, carrots, spinach, etc. Should be used with hoop supports over plants where growth points rub up against the fabric. 85-90% light transmission.
Brand Catalogue
For shorter winter days, plants need to maximise available light. Using 30gsm as as default cover takes the edge off radiative frost, especially over low, close-to-soil crops (salads, brassicas, herbs). Daily venting is still suggested.
ActiveVista 30gsm Frost Cloth performs as porous “blankets” protecting the crop from frost while allowing plants to respire and self-ventilate as temperatures fluctuate throughout the day.

- Air and moisture penetration; the material insulates the area under the fleece, whilst still allowing air and moisture to pass through. It works as an effective climatic barrier buffering plants and soil from temperature extremes
- Strength; The polypropylene non woven style of manufacture provides excellent resistance to tearing and stretching in both directions. Provided proper application and handling of the fabric, it can be used over several seasons. After its use, it can be processed via traditional recycling systems.
