NUMBER OF SEEDINGS: Outdoors every 15 days from mid-November to mid-March. In tunnels, Sept 5, Sept 10, Sept 20,Sept 28, March 25, April 5, April 10
CULTURE: Sow from early spring through midsummer. In the north, greens are well adapted to autumn plantings. For full-sized bunching, sow 15 seeds/30cm, 6mm deep in 50mm wide bands in rows 45cm apart. Most varieties do not require thinning. See individual product descriptions for varieties that do. Harvest before flowering. For baby leaf, sow a 5-10cm wide band at 60 seeds/30cm. Clip young leaves when 75-150mm tall.
PESTS: Flea beetles are best controlled by covering with floating row covers from day of sowing.
