Size

ExcelCrop Bio-Bone is a sustainable slow-release powdered fertiliser made from high-quality fresh fish and bone diverted from landfill. It is rich in protein, nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium and organic carbon, plus the macro- and micronutrients many fertilisers lack, combining the benefits of fish oils and bone nutrients to lift plant health, flowering and soil vitality.

Produced from 100% pure ocean fish and micronised to under 80 microns for optimal absorption, it delivers a steady, burn-free supply of nutrients through the season and reinvigorates soil microbes for stronger, healthier plants – a superior alternative to traditional bone meal. It is a certified organic SXC allowed input tailored for certified organic programmes.

Key Benefits

Produced from 100% pure ocean fish; high in nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium; slow-release, burn-free fertiliser; provides a sustained nutrient supply beneficial for crops; micronised to <80 micron particle size for optimal absorption; superior alternative to traditional bone meal; reinvigorates soil microbes for stronger, healthier plants; supports flowering, fruiting and root development; 100% Australian made.

Suitable Applications

Perennial plants and bulbs; broadacre crops and pastures; home gardens seeking organic enrichment; sustainable farming operations.

How to Apply

Apply Bio-Bone directly to the soil as a base or side dressing – in planting beds, crop rows or garden soil – to improve fertility and structure. For best results, mix into the soil prior to planting or apply during active growth stages to sustain nutrient release through the season.

  • Field: Apply up to 1700kg per ha annually. Field rates are best calculated based on soil conditions and crop demand.
  • Row crops and acreage: Apply 400-700kg/ha depending on specific crop needs or depending on the required nutrients needs
  • Trees and Shrubs: Spread 800 grams per Tree -around the base, outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well. For new planting, mix 20 grams into the planting hole, back fill after planting.
  • Bulbs: Apply one tablespoon per hole for average size bulbs, more for larger varieties.
  • Turf: For single applications, broadcast up to 0.1kg per 25m2. Apply up to a maximum of 0.3 kg per 25m2 annually.
  • Vegetable Gardening: To prepare new gardens, apply 1.5kg to a 10 square metre area by mixing properly in to the top soil.
  • Containers and large pots: Add 2 tablespoon per 3 litres or 2.5kg per cubic metre of soil or growing media.
