SCIENTIFIC NAME: Brassica juncea
CULTURE: Sow indoors from mid to late summer, Da Ping Pu needs constant warmth for germination and does best as a heading June autumn crop or later as it is frost tolerant. It is a thirsty plant.
SPACING: Transplant to garden at 2-3 weeks or sow seed directly 10cm apart. Thin best plants to 30cm apart.
HARVEST: Harvest when fully mature, ensuring the head is firm and solid. Cut the base with a harvest knife, outer leaves can be harvested earlier. Cut entire plants
